The LSO season closes with a celebration of how art inspires art.  Our program includes a Community Art Gallery in which young artists from around the county have created works inspired by Mussorgsky’s beloved work, Pictures at an Exhibition, the centerpiece of our concert. You’ll hear joyous music by Alberto Ginastera, the leading Argentinian composer of the twentieth century and Jessie Montgomery, the GRAMMY-winning acclaimed violinist, composer and educator whose works have been described by The Washington Post as “turbulent, wildly colorful and exploding with life.”  The program also includes Suite from Mother Goose which Ravel was inspired to write in response to the well-known fairytale.
